I cannot resist a reading challenge so imagine my delight when I came across this one hosted by Passages to the Past that relates to my favourite genre, historical fiction.
You can find all the details of the challenge here but, in summary, you choose a reading level based on the number of historical fiction titles you aim to read. The challenge runs from January 1st to December 31st, 2018.
I’ve chosen to really challenge myself by selecting the highest level – Prehistoric – which means reading 50+ books. However, I already have a number of titles on my reading list for January alone that will qualify, such as:
The Marriage of Miss Jane Austen by Collins Hemingway
Nucleus (Tom Wilde #2) by Rory Clements
Beautiful Star & Other Stories by Andrew Swanston
The Good Doctor of Warsaw by Elisabeth Gifford
The Moral Compass by K A Servian
The Coffin Path by Katherine Clements
The Wicked Cometh by Laura Carlin
If you love reading historical fiction, or want some motivation to read more historical fiction next year, why not sign up for the challenge as well?
I love historical but I reckon if I sign up it will jinx me and I’ll go right off it!
